This one-day workshop in downtown Toronto on Monday April 16, 2018 will cover the differences between for-profits, non-profits and registered charities. It is focused on helping those interested in social change understand the different vehicles (for-profit, non-profit and registered charity) and how they each have pros and cons and how they can work together. It also focuses on the limitations and compliance issues that registered charities face as they are the most regulated of the entities. Charity lawyers Mark Blumberg and Yi-Mei Ting will cover matters that are significant for any operating charity surrounding revenue generation rules, receipting, transparency, and protecting your charity against risks. Topical issues such as collaboration, foreign activities, political activities, the Canada Not-for-Profit Corporations Act (CNCA) and Ontario Non-Profit Corporations Act (ONCA) will be touched upon as well.

We want to thank Mark Blumberg for his incredible support of the sector and for this kind and deep discount.
